Gimpshop drop shadow4/27/2023 ![]() I cant select more than one layer at a time. ![]() ![]() Like if i click on a tool i have to click again on the image window in order to zoom in with the keyboard. They really do need a one-window interface like photoshop. The lighting effects are kinda terrible, but alot of people dont really yuse them so i understand that they dont focus on that. Pretty much all of the layer styles functions of PS suck in Gimp because you have to do it the long way. Theres plugins for it but the ones ive used have no preview, make everything on a new layer, and dont allow you to go back in and edit it again like PS's layer styles. I would have posted a long list but ive seen many a people get told theat they should "Learn to program yourself and quit whining." but anway. using just + and - might not be bad except to hit + you need to hold down shift, so in order to zoom in you need 2 buttons but to zoom out you need 1.ĭoes anyone know the extent to which photoshop plugins work with gimp? I saw a thread about adding that functionality to gimp but i am curious as to how well it works. I cant seem to change the rulers to view a percent or anything other than pixels really.Īnd is there a way to change to keybord shortcuts for zoom? Im so used to ctrl+ and ctrl- that i get stuff messed up. How does one go about moving a selection box while making it? So, i started working on a dropbox icon just to get familiar with everything and i went to make a selection and then move it into place by holding Space and dragging but this doest work in gimp i suppose. I can get past the layout easy enough just by making the tools windows "always on top" which is nice since i run Gimp by itself in a different workspace anyway. First i tried to install Gimpshop but all it changed was the splash screen. Im determined to use the gimp for at least a few projects before i decide on what to do, but first i need some help with some commands.
